Post Stardom Depression - Ordinary Miracle
When It Comes to Cars
I’ve got a 64 impala baby you’ve never seen
Original in color, factory green
She has a straight 6 waiting under the hood
But the cylinders are frozen so it does me no good
I can still turn it over so I don’t think she seized
I had to break in through the window to get to my keys
She’s out there at my brother’s place under the stars
I never had much luck
When it comes to cars
The steering wheel is broken, the stereo is stock
I used to hide a dual cassette deck right there in the glove box
I hung a pair of vice grips to open your door
Please don’t mind the garbage building up on the floor
I could pull a couple dents buy a couple sticks of chrome
I’d have the car parked in my driveway
If the car could make it home
She’s out there at my brother’s place under the stars
I never had much luck
When it comes to cars
It’s strange how the money went
It’s strange how the money can go
Don’t like to tone ‘em up
I just turn up the stereo
There is no fuel like conversation
We don’t need a destination
